Happisburgh in North Norfolk is one of the most rapidly eroding coastlines in the British Isles. Already several houses have been lost to the sea. Though it has been eroding since Roman times, sea level rise and an increase in stormy weather, both driven by climate change has resulted in an increase in the rate of erosion.
