Little Egrets roosting at Leighton Moss RSPB bird reserve in Lancashire, UK. Until recently These wading birds were not resident in the British Isles. Warmer Winters caused by climate change has helped them to spread rapidly and colonise many parts of the UK as a breeding bird in the last 15 years.
